Uptown Hair's building is full of history. Gottleib Kuhn opened up his barbershop in 1897. After Kuhn, the building became home to Eddie Maier's Barbershop in 1953. Howard's Barbershop moved next door in 1977. In 2005, Julie English takes over the Barbershop and renamed the business to Uptown Barbershop. In 2019, Keri Knipper, a Dyersville native, happily took over the business and renamed it to Uptown Hair.
